Waveney River Centre Awarded David Bellamy Gold Award for 10th Year in a Row

We’re ecstatic to be able to announce that we have been awarded the David Bellamy Conservation Award with the Gold level of excellence for the 10th year running.

The David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme has been running since 1996. As part of the scheme, Holiday Parks across the UK are assessed by wildlife experts on the steps they take to:

  • Manage their land as a haven for wildlife
  • Reduce their use of energy, water and other resources
  • Reduce, reuse and recycle the waste they produce
  • Support their local communities

Waveney River Centre is located inside the Broads National Park and adjacent to Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve. We know this fantastic area of outstanding natural beauty will remain so only if we take positive action in caring for it. The team here at Waveney River Centre continually review ways in which we can change our operations to better support the environment.

You can find our more about the awards on the David Bellamy website here, the Broads National Park by visiting VisitTheBroads.co.uk and the Carlton and Oulton Marshes by visiting the Suffolk Wildlife Trust website here.
