It’s always nice to receive great feedback – especially when it’s in print, in the pages of Pro Traveller Magazine.
Journalist Trevor Claringbold took his family for a break in one of our luxury lodges this Spring – and it was fun from the outset, with the “bizarre welcoming committee of 3 ducks” who accompanied him to his “bright, spacious and extremely well equipped lodge”.

Trevor certainly made the most of his holiday, taking in a visit to Burgh St Peter’s quirky little church with its wedding cake tower, a trip up the river in one of our day cruisers, and a walk through Carlton Marshes nature reserve.
Trevor’s daughter Polina also made the magazine’s final cut, here’s her view:
I thought it would be quiet and boring, but actually it was really good. Having ducks and rabbits walking around, and cows over the fence was really cool. It was fun on the river but the canoe was hard work. The kayaks were much better. I liked the chalet as it was really modern and had wifi, and the pool was indoors and warm, so good if it rained. Being on the river was kind of nice, but I wouldn’t want to stay on a boat to sleep – the chalet was much more comfortable.
