Touring & Camping - Facilities

Our touring & camping site features a wash up area with hot & cold running water, showers & WCs (including a dedicated family & disabled WC & shower with baby change facility), launderette with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron & large sinks, all open 24 hours a day.

We have an Elsan disposal point but please note - this is only available for the disposal of formaldehyde- free chemicals. This includes Elsan Green, formaldehyde-free Blue, Odorlos and other products - if you are in any doubt please check before arriving as we will not permit the disposal of formaldehyde- based chemicals. This is to protect our sewage treatment plant and to encourage you to use more environmentally-sustainable products.

Waveney Inn

Originally known as Marsh House (1879), the Waveney Inn has developed over the years from a small riverside pub to today's family-friendly bar complete with live entertainment and games room. The Waveney Inn is under the management of experienced publicans Nigel and Tracy Martin and is open 11:00am to 11:00pm every day during the season. Food is served daily to eat in or take-away. There is regular live entertainment throughout the summer.

Mariner’s Stores

Mace convenience store and off-licence, chandlery, fishing tackle, Gelert camping gear, Joules clothing and gifts. Open every day between Easter and 31st October. Ice packs can be re-frozen at the Mariner's Stores for a small charge.

Children’s Play Area

Is located next to the Nordic Leisure Centre

Nordic Leisure Centre

Features an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and sauna located in an attractive building with delightful views over the marina, river and marshes. Charges apply for admission. Short break and weekly swimming passes are available. During peak periods it is occasionally necessary to limit swimming sessions to ˝ hour. The Nordic Leisure Centre is open every day between Easter and 31st October.

Showers & WCs

Ladies’, Gent’s and disabled facilities are open 24 hours a day. Showers are included in the price of your touring or camping pitch.

Launderette

Is open 24 hours a day. The washing machine and tumble dryer operate on a £1 coin meter and the iron on a 50p coin meter. There are two large sinks for hand washing.
